Tenant Protection

Our lease requires you to have coverage for your stored personal property while renting with us. To ensure the protection of your belongings, we now offer a tenant protection plan for tenants who do not already have a policy that covers personal property while in storage. This protection plan amends your rental agreement with our facility to ensure that you have and maintain coverage for your stored belongings.
Important Protection Plan Information:
● The plan provides coverage for your stored belongings in case of certain damage or loss.
● The plan provides certain limited protections but is not an insurance policy.
● The protection plan is administered by SafeLease Insurance Services LLC. Plan and coverage details can be found at info.safelease.com/addendum.
● Claims under the protection plan can be submitted online via the SafeLease tenant portal at tenant.safelease.com.
● Available coverage options are $12/month for $2,000 coverage, $17/month for $3,000 coverage and $27 month for $5,000 coverage.
● SafeLease Insurance Services, LLC is not a party to the protection plan. Safe Lease’s role in administering the plan is limited to (1) providing insurance coverage for the facility owner and/or operator to cover the liability under the protection plan and (2) administering claims that tenants who have purchased the protection plan may submit to the facility owner/operator for lost or damaged stored goods, under the terms of the protection plan.
If you already have an insurance policy that covers your belongings while stored at this self-storage facility:
● You must opt out of the facility’s protection plan by submitting your proof of insurance through the tenant portal at tenant.safelease.com. ● If your proof of coverage has not been received by May 1st, 2025, you will be automatically covered by the facility's protection plan and a $12 charge will be added to your monthly bill.
If you are renting a parking space and have previously provided your proof of insurance to us, we kindly ask you to resubmit your current policy document through the tenant portal. This must also be completed by May 1st, 2025 to avoid being auto-protected by our facility’s protection plan.
● You must keep Insurance policy documents up to date in the tenant portal. Upon renewal, you must resubmit your current policy documents. If you do not resubmit before your policy expires, you will be auto-protected into the minimum plan until updated policy documents are received.
